Working for Peace & Justice
In the work for peace and justice in our world, we partner-with and support the following organizations:
Brethren-Mennonite Council for LGBTQ Interests — BMC cultivates an inclusive church and society and provides care for the Mennonite and Brethren lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied community.
Community Peacemaker Teams - CPT places teams at the invitation of local peacemaking communities that are confronting situations of lethal conflict. These teams support and amplify the voices of local peacemakers who risk injury and death by waging nonviolent direct action to confront systems of violence and oppression.
Family Promise of Philadelphia - works with Philadelphia families in times of crisis to prevent eviction, find shelter, and provide access to safe, affordable housing.
Germantown Avenue Crisis Ministry - founded in 1997 by a consortium of local churches, GACM addresses the growing need for emergency services by residents in our local community.
Kingdom Builders Network - a network of Anabaptist faith leaders who meet the 2nd Thursday of each month.
Mennonite Action - a movement of Mennonites, Christians, and friends following in the example of Jesus Christ, who called us to live as active peacemakers, standing firmly on the side of the downtrodden and the oppressed.
New Sanctuary Movement of Philadelphia - grassroots organizing led by affected immigrants to fight and win immigrant justice campaigns with our members across nationality, faith, class, and immigration status.
Repair Network of the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery — supports church communities in education, solidarity, and reparative action alongside Indigenous Peoples.
Tikkun Olam Chavurah - an anti-zionist queer-led Jewish community in Northwest Philadelphia.
Yes!And… Collaborative Arts - a youth-centered organization dedicated to amplifying voices, nurturing agency, and creating community through performing arts experiences.
