“Healthcare Reform Neighborhood Forum” featuring Wendell Potter. Sunday, October 18, 3 to 5 pm at GMC. Free and open to the public. Come learn about the bills being considered by Congress, ask questions, and find out what we can do. Wendell Potter is the former PR chief for CIGNA turned outspoken critic of “Wall Street healthcare.” Potter became an advocate for reform when he witnessed people waiting in long lines to receive basic medical care at one of the Remote Area Medical’s healthcare fairs. “I was stunned to see this level of neglect in the United States.” He urges, “We need to think of the coming weeks as some of the most important weeks in the history of this country. We must redouble our efforts to make sure members of Congress put our interests above those of private health insurers and others who view reform as a way to make more money.”

6:30-7:00 Pizza and Music ($1 a slice)
7:00-7:30 Games
7:30-9:00 Vintage Cartoons

Come in your best and coziest pajamas, and bring your blanky! Enjoy a fun night of refreshments and vintage cartoons! We'll have a quick dinner starting at 6:30 and have a little fun family sing-along to help digest the food. Then, games - Bingo! and other fun family games. Finally, we get to the main event - great old cartoons (parent screened) for the entire family to enjoy. We are doing our best to make this night safe, non-scary (i.e. no loud noises) and cozy.

Its a $5 / family suggested donation. Proceeds will go to towards the Sanctuary Arts Series goal to purchase a projector for movie nights just like this.
